Event Season Survival Guide
How to prepare for the upcoming event season!

Weddings, formals, birthdays, Christmas parties, spring racing…
the calendar is about to get BUSY.
And while we fully support the last-minute “I have an event tomorrow, what can you do?” message, your beauty prep will look a whole lot better when we have a little warning.

1–2 WEEKS OUT
Start thinking about your brows and lashes.
A lash lift or brow lamination a few days before your event gives
everything time to settle beautifully while still looking fresh.
This is also the time to book any facial treatments rather than
experimenting with something new the day before your event.

2–3 DAYS OUT
Hair removal time.
Book your body waxing or sugaring before your spray tan
so your skin has time to settle. Waxing immediately before
tanning can leave skin sensitive and may affect how evenly
your tan develops.
This is also a good time for your brow wax and dye
so any temporary redness has disappeared well before makeup goes on.
1–2 DAYS OUT

Tan time baby!!
We generally recommend having your spray tan around 1–2 days before your event. Before your appointment,
exfoliate thoroughly, remove unwanted body hair beforehand and arrive with clean skin free from deodorant, moisturiser, perfume and oils.
All of our tans are a 2-hour wash-off, but remember — your colour will continue developing after that first rinse.
We’ll help choose the right shade for you, apply setting powder to minimise that sticky post-tan feeling and talk you through exactly how to care for your tan afterwards.
EVENT DAY
Moisturise, get dressed, pour the bubbles and enjoy the fact you didn’t leave everything until 4pm that afternoon. 🥂
