Tattoo Removal
Laser tattoo removal uses high-intensity light beams that safely break down the ink particles in your skin. Over time, your body’s natural immune system clears away these smaller particles, gradually fading the tattoo. Multiple sessions are usually needed, depending on the tattoo’s size, color, depth, and your skin type.
Pre & Post Care
Before Your Appointment
-
Avoid sun exposure & tanning (natural or solarium) for at least 2 weeks before treatment.
-
Do not use fake tan or bronzing creams on the area.
-
Stay hydrated and keep skin healthy — well-moisturised skin responds better.
-
Shave the area 24 hours before (if it has hair).
-
Avoid alcohol or aspirin 24 hours before your session, as they can increase bruising.
-
Let your technician know if you are taking any medications or have any skin conditions.
After Your Appointment
Your skin will need some extra care as it heals:
Immediately After:
-
The area may look red, swollen, or blistered — this is normal.
-
Apply a cool compress (not ice directly) to reduce discomfort.
-
Your technician may apply a soothing ointment and cover with a sterile dressing.
First 3–5 Days:
-
Keep the area clean, dry, and lightly covered if needed.
-
Apply the recommended ointment (like aloe vera or antibiotic cream) as directed.
-
Do not pick, scratch, or pop blisters — this can cause scarring.
What to Avoid (First 1–2 Weeks):
-
No swimming, hot tubs, or saunas.
-
Avoid heavy exercise or sweating that irritates the area.
-
No direct sun exposure — keep the area covered or apply SPF once healed.
-
Avoid makeup, creams, or fragranced products on the treated area until fully healed.
Healing Phase (Up to 2 Weeks):
-
The skin will scab, flake, and peel — this is normal.
-
Allow the skin to heal naturally for best results.
-
Sessions are usually spaced 6–8 weeks apart to allow full recovery before the next treatment.
Long-Term Care
-
Always protect the area from the sun with SPF 30+ once healed.
-
Keep skin hydrated for better healing.
-
Be patient — complete removal takes multiple sessions and varies with each tattoo.
